These terms cover how you can use our website and online estimator, and how we work together if you ask us to build a fence. We've kept it short and in plain English. By using the site or hiring us, you're agreeing to what's below.
Who we are
Get Fenced! LLC · Lafayette, IN · (260) 499-1418 · [email protected]. We operate letsgetfenced.com and a small fence-install crew serving north-central Indiana. In these terms, "we", "us", and "Get Fenced!" all mean Get Fenced! LLC. "You" means whoever is using the site or hiring us.
Using the website
You can browse the site, draw your property on the estimator, and submit contact forms. In exchange, you agree not to:
- Submit fake addresses, fake names, or fake phone numbers
- Scrape the site, hammer the API, or try to break things
- Copy our pricing, copy, or photos to a competing site
- Use the site if you're under 18, or if you can't enter into a contract
We can suspend access for anyone who breaks these rules — usually we just block the IP and move on with our day.
The online estimator
The estimator gives you an installed-price range based on the property outline you draw, the fence type and height you pick, and our current pricing for north-central Indiana. It is not a binding quote.
Real-world pricing depends on things the satellite map can't see: slope, soil, hidden utilities, demolition of an existing fence, HOA approvals, permit fees, gate hardware, and how far we have to drive. We give you a firm, signed quote after a free in-person measure. Until then, treat the estimator number as a ballpark.
Quotes, jobs, and payment
- Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date we send them, unless we say otherwise in writing. Material costs move, and past 30 days we may need to re-quote.
- We collect a deposit before we order materials and schedule the install. The deposit amount and the payment schedule are spelled out in the quote you sign.
- Final payment is due on the day we finish the build, unless your written quote says something different.
- Late balances over 30 days past due may carry a 1.5% per-month service charge, plus any reasonable collection costs.
Cancellations and changes
You can cancel a signed contract within three business days for a full refund of any deposit, as required by Indiana law — just email or call us. After three business days, we may keep an amount that covers materials we've already ordered and labor we've already scheduled, with the rest refunded.
Change orders (different fence type, more footage, extra gates, etc.) are priced and signed separately before we start the new work.
What we promise (warranty)
- Workmanship: we warrant our installation labor for one year from the build-completion date. If a post leans, a gate sags, or a rail comes loose because of how we installed it, we come back and fix it.
- Materials: manufacturer warranties pass through to you. We'll help you file claims on vinyl, aluminum, and chain-link materials covered by the maker.
- Not covered: damage from storms, vehicles, animals, settling soil, third-party work, or anything you change yourself after we hand the job over.
What's on you (the homeowner)
- Property lines. You're responsible for telling us where your property line is. If you're not sure, get a survey — fences built on a neighbor's land are a problem we can't fix later.
- Buried utilities. We call Indiana 811 before we dig, which marks public utilities for free. Private lines (sprinklers, invisible dog fences, low-voltage lighting, propane runs) are not marked by 811. Tell us where yours are or accept that we may hit them.
- HOA and permits. Where required, we'll help with permit paperwork and HOA submittals, but you're responsible for getting HOA approval.
- Access. Make sure we can reach the work area on the install day — gates unlocked, dogs inside, cars moved.
Photos of your job
We typically take photos of finished installs to show on the website, in social posts, and in future quotes. These photos never include your name, your address, or anything that identifies you personally. If you'd rather we didn't, just tell us in writing before the install and we'll skip it.
What we own (and what you can use)
The website, the estimator, our pricing, our photos, our copy, and the Get Fenced! name and logo are ours. You're welcome to share a link to any page, or to use a screenshot of your own quote. You don't get the right to repost our content, train AI on it, or build a competing product from it.
Third-party services
The estimator uses Google Maps Platform for satellite imagery and address autocomplete. Your use of those features is also governed by Google's terms — see our Privacy Policy for the full list of services we rely on.
Limits on our liability
We do our best, but the website is provided "as is". We don't promise the estimator is 100% accurate, that the site is always available, or that the maps will always load. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to using this site is capped at $100, and we're not on the hook for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
For an actual installed fence, our liability is governed by the signed contract for that job — not by these site terms.
Indemnity
If your misuse of the site (scraping, abuse, fake submissions, copying our content) causes us a real loss or a third-party claim, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can't be worked out by talking to us first will be brought in the state or federal courts in Tippecanoe County, Indiana, and you agree to that venue.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes (anything that affects your rights) will get a note on the homepage for a couple of weeks. Continuing to use the site after a change means you're good with the new version.
