Before you build
Indiana HOA fence rules.
Most Indiana subdivisions have a covenant that controls fence height, material, color, and setback — and most want written approval before a post goes in the ground. We've logged the rules for 101+ HOAs (36 verified line-by-line) so you know what'll pass review before you spend a dollar.

How HOA fence approval works in Indiana
Almost every platted subdivision in Tippecanoe and Marion County carries recorded covenants (CC&Rs). For fences they typically dictate a maximum height (often 6 ft for privacy, 4 ft in front-facing zones), an approved material list, a color or stain restriction, and a setback off the property line. Many also require an Architectural Review Committee (ARC) sign-off before installation — build first and you can be ordered to tear it out.
Pick your HOA above to see what we've logged. Don't see yours, or the rules look out of date? Drop your address in the estimator and we'll pull the current covenant as part of the quote — and we handle the ARC submission paperwork on installs we do.
